ICYMI:  Pre-Race Interview on FS1

Jesse's Pre-Race Quotes:  "I always look forward to Charlotte,” said Little. “It’s an important race for a lot of people. For a lot of my guys, this is their hometown race, so everyone’s morale is up because we feel like can go and put on a show on Friday night.”  “Charlotte’s an extremely fast track and the Trucks put on a great show there,” added Little. “It’s a relatively quick race, so we learned that track position is crucial for this race. We also need to make sure we keep our truck balanced as the track and weather conditions change throughout the day, especially with practice in the morning, qualifying in the afternoon and the race at night. “We had a good truck last year and were in the hunt for a top-10 finish but had some late race obstacles that prevented us from getting there.  Despite those obstacles, we fought as a team, learned a lot and wound up with a decent 16th finish. “Hopefully we can take with what we learned last year and in our races this season and can get a top-10 on Friday night.”

The team also hopes their performance on Friday night will spark the interest of a potential new marketing partner as the team continues to compete without the benefit of a primary partner.  “It takes a lot of people and even a bigger effort to get our No. 97 Ford to the track each week,” explained JJL Motorsports team owner Jason Little. “We continue to fight hard and go to the race track every week and give 100 percent. We’d like to increase our schedule this season but need the sponsorship and investor support to make it happen.  Interested parties that would like to learn more about sponsorship and investor opportunities are encouraged to contact us."

 Dover Race, 5/2/19
Race will air on FS1 at 5:00 pm ET, Gander Outdoor Truck Series

Results:  Start P13  Finish P29 (tire issue/broken track bar)
Jesse had a fast truck at Dover.   After finishing Stage 2 in 7th place, Jesse was running lap times the same as the leader, positioning himself to be up front at the end to battle for the Win. Unfortunately, in last stage, bad luck struck when the right rear tire blew, taking Jesse into the wall and eventually out of the race with a broken track bar.  The next race is Charlotte - Jesse is focused and ready for redemption!

As a UNC Charlotte Student, Jesse was especially affected by the tragic event that occurred on campus.  To honor the victims, Jesse ran a special logo on the truck for Dover.   Our prayers go out to all the people impacted and their families.

Jesse Quotes: "Although I am very disappointed with our P23 finish last weekend at Atlanta, I'm really proud of our JJL Motorsports team.  We struggled to get a good driving truck all night. It was a challenging weekend because of the weather and with qualifying getting canceled, we had to fight from the back of the field to the front.  We were able to make great gains during the race that put me in contention for for a Top 10 finish, but unfortunately was involved in the big wreck at the end.    "Going forward we continue to focus on improving the speed in the Trucks and working with more sponsors and partners to expand the program."   For Las Vegas, we learned a lot last fall," added Little. "It was a solid finish for us last year but I think we can take how our truck responded during practice and the race and be in a much better place for this Friday's race. After last weekend, I think everyone is eager to get back to the track and get a chance to redeem ourselves."   READ ENTIRE PRESS RELEASE FOR LAS VEGAS RACE AND MORE ABOUT OUR SPONSORS.....

Atlanta Race Preview!
As a team, JJL Motorsports returns to Atlanta hoping to repeat their 2018 performance which saw Little contend for his first career Truck Series win - but settle for an eighth-place finish following a late race restart. For Little, he sees Atlanta as not only an opportunity for redemption, but a chance to impress his sponsors and a new team roster.
Jesse's Quotes:  "I'm ready to go," said Little. "It's been a busy offseason - and we have some great sponsors and new faces on the JJL Motorsports team - but I'm eager to get to Atlanta and see what happens. "It's going to be a competitive race, but Atlanta is a track that suits my driving style and I feel like we can go there and contend for the win. "Our Atlanta performance really put us on the map last year and let everyone know right away that we are contenders. This year though we've set goals to run in the Top 5 and win races and I think we'll be able to achieve them."
Skuttle Tight returns as Primary Sponsor:  Skuttle Tight, a Willmar, Minn.-based manufacturer that offers two insulted attic access systems that are easy to install return to Little's No. 97 Ford F-150 as a primary partner for the 130-lap event.
"We are excited to once again partner up with JJL Motorsports and Jesse Little for our NASCAR marketing for the 2019 season, offered Skuttle Tights' Chad Kompelien. "Most of the customers that use our products drive trucks and we know JJL and Jesse will be great ambassadors for us."

We have a lot of great support and our trucks are fast. I’m eager to get to Homestead and get down to business, but I honestly think we can be a sleeper on Friday night and contend for the win.  I enjoy racing at Homestead, it’s a racers race track,” he explained. “The track is going to change a lot from the start of the day to the end of the race – but that will help make it exciting. Another outstanding performance at Texas!
Jesse Little and his JJL Motorsports team eighth race of the year at Texas Motor Speedway produced the fifth top-10 of the 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. With support from new partner Skuttle Tight and the continuing support of Grindstaff Rub Co., Little had another great qualifying effort, starting P10  Working his way to fifth during Stage 1, Little and his team led by crew chief Matt Noyce elected to make an early pit stop which allowed them to stay out for the start of Stage 2, restarting second. Maintaining his presence at the front, a Lap 50 restart, however, sent Little plummeting through the field as he found himself trapped on the treacherous outside lane. Still, a resilient Little was able to maneuver his way out of the chaos and despite a late-race pit stop in Stage 2, Little once again found himself back inside the top-10 for the start of Stage 3. Throughout the final laps of the event, Little never fell outside the top-10 and even through a late green flag pit stop where he took tires, fuel and a chassis adjustment, the NASCAR Next alumnus was able to climb back through the field and rise from ninth to seventh in the closing laps to earn his fifth top-10 finish with a seventh place finish.  Jesse Little Quote: “Part of me loves being disappointed by a seventh-place finish, other part wishes we did things a little different as we were so close again to that W.  We had a great No. 97 Skuttle Tight | Grindstaff Rub Co. Ford Performance F-150.  We will go try one more time to get JJL Motorsports and myself a trophy at Homestead". I really appreciate the support of everyone and can’t thank my guys enough for their hard work.”

Las Vegas Race, 9/14/18
Race will air on FX1 at 9:00pm, Camping World Truck Series
Las Vegas Motor Speedway   Start P24   Finish P15

Jesse's Post Race Quotes: "Las Vegas showed the potential our team has to rebound. We struggled in practice but regrouped that night and made smart adjustments for qualifying.  I had a slip up Friday afternoon during qualifying and had to start P24, but I could tell the lap was going to be good and that I had yet another fast Ford Performance truck.  We started 24th and by the end of the second stage we were right outside the top 5.   If it wasn't for some bad luck,  I am certain we would've had a good finish, top 5 finish. However, after being involved in two wrecks, a 15th place finish still shows the relentlessness of the team and myself. I look forward to Texas as its a very similar track and we will be taking the same truck. I cant thank the crew guys and all of our partners enough for all their hard work and support. On to the next one - with the same passion, focus and determination"

Pre-Race Press Releases and Quotes:
Little to Run both Cup and Truck race at Bristol.  Pre-Race Press Release (8-13-18): In addition to running the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race for JJL Motorsports on Thursday night, Jesse will also get behind the wheel for a one-race opportunity for Gaunt Brothers Racing. The third-generation driver has had an exceptional season in the Truck Series driving for his family-owned JJL Motorsports team. In five starts this year, Little has maneuvered four top-10 finishes including a career-best sixth place result at Iowa Speedway last month. Most recently, Little finished seventh at Gateway (Ill.) Motorsports Park.
Jesse's Quotes: “I can’t begin to describe to emotion of racing a Truck and a Cup car at Bristol on the same weekend,” said Little. “This is a huge opportunity for me and I want to thank Marty Gaunt (Cup team owner) and Jason Little (Truck team owner) for giving me the tools to race double duty at one of my favorite race tracks.  I really think we’re going to have a truck capable of a top-five finish on Thursday night.  My Truck crew chief Matt Noyce and the guys on our JJL Motorsports team have been working hard to make sure we can go there this week and be very competitive and keep building our “little team” in the right direction.  When it comes to the Cup race on Saturday night, I just want to get more experience in a Cup car, be respectful and bring Marty and the team a solid finish they can be satisfied with. It’s going to be a long race. The longest race of my career – but I feel like if I can remain patient and stay out of trouble, hopefully we can leave Bristol with a top-25 finish and call it a successful weekend.”  Little said.   Read entire Pre-Race Press Release...

Jesse's Post Race Quotes:  "I had no expectations for Saturday night’s race other than to take the green flag and see the checkered flag.  For my first cup race, all my goals and expectations we’re reached. I wanted to go there and simply finish the race and learn as much as I could. I wanted to run my own race and earn respect from the top drivers. I hate that penalties and mistakes on pit road put us so many laps down as I feel a top 30 place finish wasn’t unrealistic. I can’t thank Jay Robinson enough for the opportunity to gain valuable experience behind the wheel and I can't wait to get back into a cup car again"

Gateway Race, June 23rd, 2018

Gateway Motorsports Park:  Start P9, Finish P7

Jesse delivers another solid performance with a 7th place finish at Gateway  For the fourth time in 2018, JJL Motorsports driver Jesse Little produced a top-10 finish in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition hustling to a hard fought seventh-place performance in Saturday night’s race at Gateway.  On the heels of a career-best sixth place run the weekend prior at Iowa Speedway, Little and his Matt Noyce-led team had high hopes for Gateway.  From practice to qualifying, Little showed his family-owned team would be a contender for the 160-lap race.

Race Re-cap: After recording his second top-10 qualifying effort of the year, Little maintained his presence inside the top-10 throughout the first stage.  When pit road opened at the end of Stage 1, Noyce decided to use strategy for track position – putting two right side tires. On the Lap 42 restart, Little blasted his Ford to fourth. Battling a tight-handling truck in aero-traffic, Little slipped three positions by the end of Stage 2 to seventh.  Still combating the tightness of his truck, Little persevered throughout Stage 3, including dodging several late-race incidents and fending off several laps of intense three-wide battles on restarts to find himself chasing down a top-five finish with 20 laps to go. A late race caution for debris stacked the field again however, giving Little having another opportunity to gain track position on the restart. However, with the checkered flag near, the intensity also intensified. On the restart, Little found himself in a nest of trucks and jockeying for a spot in the top-five. During the shuffling, Little made contact with the No. 16 of Moffitt entering Turn 1. Having to get out of the throttle, Little’s momentum was lost.  Sliding back to seventh for the checkered flag.  Additionally, the team’s performance Saturday night delivered the fourth top-10 finish for the 21-year-old phenom in the last five races.  Read entire Race Re-Cap and Press Release.....

Jesse's post-race Quotes:  All in all, it was a decent night.  We had some good tire strategy and great pit stops.  I  appreciate Jim Grindstaff and the Rustic Rub Co. jumping on board for this race. It means a lot. Fourth top-10 out of five races is good for our little team.  We will take it and go and work on it a lot. Our goal each race is being competitive and think we are making great progress.  Our time is coming"

Pre-Race Notes and Press Release for Gateway:
On the heels of their impressive sixth-place outing last weekend at Iowa Speedway, JJL Motorsports and driver Jesse Little look to duplicate or better their performance at Gateway (Ill.) Motorsports Park.  Jesse's Quote.   While the team would be satisfied with their fourth top-10 performance of the year, Little, a Sherrills Ford, N.C.-native hopes the opportunity could easily present itself for his JJL Motorsports team to pull off an upset win on Saturday night.  Of course, the NASCAR Next alumnus and his Matt Noyce-led team also know that luck, a good handling race truck and perfection behind the wheel must fuse together to provide that priceless moment.   Jesse's pre-race Quotes for Gateway:  "We showed great resilience in our team last weekend at Iowa and that is something I think we can build on this weekend at Gateway. There aren’t words to describe what a win would mean to this team,” Little mentioned. “I think we’re making great strides with our team and doing big things with not a lot to work with. Our effort though is in our results. Our team is spending the week in the Midwest working on the truck – going through it piece by piece, part by part to make sure everything’s in place to make our Gateway debut a memorable one"    READ  ENTIRE PRE-RACE PRESS RELEASE.....

Jesse Little earns career-best NASCAR Camping World Truck Series finish at Iowa Speedway

PRESS RELEASE -Race Recap for Iowa:  Saving the best for last. That statement couldn’t be further from the truth on Saturday night at Iowa Speedway as Jesse Little wheeled his No. 97 JJL Motorsports Ford F-150 to a career-best sixth place finish.  The one-day show for Little, Little chimed in 13th quickest overall giving the team family-owned team a solid footing for the approaching 200-lap race. While the team continued to combat the handling of their No. 97 truck during the first two opening stages, the endless efforts from Noyce and  Little behind the wheel paid dividends at the end of Stage 2.   A bolting fast pit stop by Little’s team kept the NASCAR Next alumnus inside the top-10 during Stage 3 and despite battling a lack of grip, Little hovered inside the top-10 fending off the challengers behind him while chasing former series champion Johnny Sauter for fifth. Having to wrestle his truck in the closing laps with no grip, Little made significant gains on his distance from Sauter, but when the checkered flag waved – Little had to settle for sixth, a career-best in the Camping World Truck Series.

Jesse's Post Race Quotes:  " What a battle. Everyone did their jobs. We stayed out of trouble and our pit stops were incredibly fast. Matt (Noyce, crew chief) did a good job with adjustments to our truck from start to finish.  Moving forward, we will work harder at getting better from the start so weren’t not so far behind and having to play catchup all weekend. I’m really proud of this team and our preparation for  next weekend's race at Gateway starts now"

Pre-Race Report for Iowa Speedway:  JJL Motorsports and Jesse Little focused on another strong performance at Iowa Speedway.   NEWTON, Iowa – Excited to return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) scene, JJL Motorsports heads to Iowa Speedway this weekend confident about contending for a win.  Jesse Little will make his fourth start of the season and eyes his third top-10 of the year at Iowa. In the team’s previous race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, Little’s truck jumped out of gear with two laps to go dropping him from inside the top-10 to 16th when the checkered flag waved.

Throughout his racing career, Iowa Speedway has been good to the NASCAR Next alumnus. He has nine career NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) starts at the 0.875-mile oval, which includes a pole and a race win in 2015. Overall, Little has produced three top-five and six top-10 runs since 2012. He also scored his first career top-10 run in a truck last June, finishing ninth.

Jesse's Quotes: “Iowa is just a cool place,” added Little. “It’s a track where you need to have speed and finesse. Drivers in racing will say that they have tracks that fit their driving style and I think it’s fair to say that Iowa is one of those places for me. . We’d like to use the same truck in both races, so we’ll be cautiously aggressive on Saturday night. We know that we have the right ingredients to contend for the win, we just need to connect the dots and see what happens.”   Read entire Press Release for Iowa......

FS1 to Spotlight Jesse in the Pre-Race segment:  To spotlight their incredible success this season, FOX Sports 1 recently visited the team’s shop where analyst Jeff Hammond who served as crew chief for Little’s father, Chad Little during his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series campaign from 1998-2000 talked to Jesse Little, Chad Little and Noyce about their growth and outlook. The behind-the-scenes feature will run prior to the Gateway Motorsports Park race on June 23.   “The feature was pretty cool,” added Jesse Little. “I appreciate everyone working so hard to make it happen and for Jeff and my dad bringing back a lot of cool memories. I think everyone will be intrigued with our story and I can’t wait to see the final product.”

Race will air live 5/18/18 at 8:00 ET, FS1, Camping World Truck Series
Charlotte Race:  Start P24 (no qualifying-rain out), Finish P16

Results do not show efforts: It was a hard fought night for Jesse Little and the JJL Motorsports team at Charlotte Motor Speedway.  After a rain-out for qualifying, Jesse started 24th based on points. As soon as the Green Flag dropped, Jesse rocketed through the field, running as high as P2. The team make several adjustments throughout the race and at the end, Jesse was in contention for another Top-10, before a mechanical issue that caused the truck to shift out of gear with two laps to go resulting in a 16th place finish.   Again, Jesse drove a hard race that the finish does not show.  The JJL Motorsports team will keep digging as they are more determined than ever to get that W. The next race will be Sat 7:00pm, June 16th at Iowa Speedway, followed by Gateway Speedway on Sat 8:30pm, June 23rd. Stay tuned for more information on Iowa!

I can’t say enough about my crew chief,  Matt Noyce and this JJL Motorsports team.  We had a good truck at Charlotte but it just did not go as planned. Qualifying was rained out, so we started 24th – but we went to the front and just had a mishap there at the end when the truck jumped out of gear.  I'm glad to be upset with running most of the race in the top-10 as it shows how determined we are as a team to get better. I feel confident we will go to Iowa and and be competitive".

Dover Race,  May 4th, 2018
Race will air live on 5/4/18 at 5:00 ET, FS1, Camping World Truck Series

Dover Post-Race Recap: For the second consecutive race, Jesse Little wheeled his No. 97 JJL Motorsports Ford F-150 into contention for the win. After qualifying fifth, Little and his Matt Noyce led team felt confident in their No. 97 PFC Brakes | Penske Racing Shocks Ford.Throughout the first two stages, Little cleverly raced his family-owned truck inside the top-five claiming fifth in Stage 1 and raced hard inside the final five laps of Stage 2 to again place his No. 97 machine fifth at the conclusion of Stage 2. At the start of stage 3, Little hunted down race leader Johnny Sauter, passing the No. 21 Chevrolet in traffic allowing the Sherrills Ford, N.C. native to lead his first laps in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition.   With 43 to to, Little was in 2nd place  when he made is final pit stop.  Unfortunately, Little's tire was just outside the pit box, which resulted in a one-lap penalty by NASCAR.  The mistake dropped Little from 2nd to 13th for the restart.  Over the remainder of the race, Little maneuver himself back to the lead lap inside the top-10 – but ran out of laps to climb the leaderboard higher.   Little finished ninth, collecting the team’s second consecutive top-10 finish.
Jesse's Quotes:  Truc
k was fast, top-2 fast.  I was so focused and determined more then ever to get that W.  Unfortunately I made a mistake and am devastated about the penalty on my last pit stop. EVERYONE did a great job and we rebounded for a top-10 finishing P9.  Our finish shows how relentless my team is. I’m glad to be disappointed with a top 10.  I learned a lot and got to lead laps.  Everyone knew that we were there and we'll build on the momentum and be ready to battle at Charlotte Motor Speedway? in a couple weeks!  I can't thank Matt, my guys, PFC Brakes, Penske Racing Shocks, Ford Performance and all of our other partners for continuing to believe in our little team."

PRE-RACE REPORT  - Dover International Raceway
JJL Motorsports is gearing up the NASCAR Camping World Truck return at Dover
It’s been nearly two and a half months since JJL Motorsports has hit the track.

However, the wait is nearly over.

After contending for their first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway in February, crew chief Matt Noyce and veteran driver Jesse Little have been diligently working on their family-owned operation preparing for next weekend’s JEGS 200 at Dover (Del.) International Speedway.

Jesse's Quotes: Atlanta went incredibly well for us,” recalled Little the son of former NASCAR driver Chad Little. “We went there with a brand-new truck, manufacture and engine package. Our result showed how hard Matt (Noyce) and team worked and how determined we are at JJL to be competitive.” With a career-best eighth place finish at Atlanta, the team’s performance motivated them to go back to their Sherrills Ford, N.C.-shop more determined than ever.  “We’re building JJL for the future,” added Little.  I think we were able to show at Atlanta that despite being an under budget team our determination and hard work makes up for everything else we’re lacking. “The important thing for us though is to keep showing speed. Matt is a gifted crew chief and my guys that work on these trucks are second to none. We just have to keep digging and hope everything else falls into place."  "I’m absolutely thrilled for our Dover truck to see the track and I'm ready,” sounded Little. “Matt and the guys have built a beautiful truck and cut zero corners.  We have put an immense amount of energy into making it light and aerodynamic. I hope it runs as good as it looks."  “Dover has been circled on my calendar all year. I truly believe we can go there and battle for the win. It’s my favorite track. It’s a brand-new truck. All the pieces seem to be there for a good weekend.”

ATLANTA POST-RACE RECAP:  Jesse Little wheels his #97 JJL Motorsports Ford Fusion to a career-best 8th place! All the time and effort that went into this race really showed today. It was nothing short of IMPRESSIVE for the"Little Team that could", Wings over North Georgia Airshow Ford Truck.  Jesse was competitive all race running in the top-5, again showing his talent behind the wheel. With just a few laps left, Jesse was running P4, turning some of the quickest laps on the track, when the caution came out. Jesse was heard on the radio saying “I kinda wanted to see that, I kinda didn’t”.  With a truck capable of the “W”, it was nail biting Green-White-Checkered shoot-out.  Jesse lost momentum in the mangled web of trucks at the restart, but emerged with a career best P8 finish.
Jesse Little quotes: I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming support today. I wanted to come here to learn and gain respect. Truck was solid all night and fast – thank you Matt Noyce and team. I was patient all race, positioning myself to be upfront at the end. On the last restart, the #13 got loose and I checked up, losing my momentum. All good and I’m happy for Brett. Our team is coming together. Looking forward to Dover and Charlotte next – this was a great start to our 2018 season"  Full Read full press release...

JJL will also debut their manufacturer switch from Toyota to Ford at Atlanta.   Jesse's quotes: “We’re really excited about Atlanta,” noted Little who holds a career-best Truck Series finish of ninth Iowa Speedway last year. “We’ve made a lot of changes to our team and I think everyone will quickly see the benefits of them, especially our on-track product.  “I’m also very honored to represent the Wings Over North Georgia Air Show. I’m a fan of anything when it comes to speed and aviation is no different. The fitting of this partnership is right, and I hope we can have a strong run on Saturday afternoon to help drive more attention towards their event Read entire Pre-Race Press Release for Atlanta.....

 Highlights from 2017:

In 2017, Jesse competed in 4 Camping World Truck races.  The long hours and attention to every detail showed in 2017 as the JJL Motorsports ran competitively in the Top-5 in every race.   The 2017 season was nothing short of impressive as Jesse turned the heads of many notables in NASCAR showing his driving talents.  Jesse qualified in the Top-10 in 3 out of the 4 races and finished in the Top-10 in 2 races, with his career best P9 finish at Iowa.

Dover 6/2/17:   Start P5,  Finish P14   Jesse's Quotes:  "It was extremely rewarding to go to Dover and run as strong as we did. All the hard work the team and myself, along with our partners, Gaunt Brothers Racing, Triad Racing Technologies, Toyota Racing, Performance Friction Brakes, JJL Motorsports, put into this race, paid off.  For a low budget team like ourselves, we showed everyone that hard work and dedication means the most!  After starting P5, we ran in the top 5 most of the race but the late race pitstop did not go as planned after coming in P2 for tires.  We lost a lap in the pits, but we still finished a respectable p14.  This finish did not reflect our day and that we had a fast car very capable of the win.  I look forward to our next race where we can showcase our abilities even more"

Iowa 6/23/17:  Start P9, Finish P9   Jesse's Quotes:  "It was great to be confident heading into this race after the strong run at Dover.  We had a great car all night at Iowa.  Although this was my career best finish, the team and myself will continue to strive to get better.  It's great to see the gains we're making in the Truck Series and Iowa gave us another opportunity to show what this team is capable of accomplishing."

Bristol 8/16/17:   Start: P10, Finish P13  Jesse's Quotes:  "It was encouraging to qualify 10th and we ran in the top 15 most of the race.  Struggled with front grip most of the night, but finished in P13, which just shows how close we are to putting a whole race together from here.  For having only one truck and being underfunded, we still have been competitive in all three truck races this year and qualified in the top 10 for each race. We will regroup and go through the truck insuring we will have more speed at the next race. I can't thank everyone enough who has believed in myself and our little team. Finally, I am incredibly appreciative for the help and support from Triad Racing Technologies CNC, Toyota Racing, Gaunt Brothers RAcing, Performance Friction Brakes, JLL Motorsports and the guys at shop who worked those long hours, nights and weekends with me getting this truck ready!"

Phoenix 11/10/17:
Start P24, Finish P18  Jesse's Quotes:
"Had a great truck tonight. Truck was fast, top five fast. I was patience all race as I worked my way up through the field to P7 with 19 to go. I was in position for a strong finish when the wreck happened.  I am frustrated that our race ended that way.  Tried to back out at the last minute when I realized I was 5 wide but was just too late. I’m fine, little sore. Truck is killed. No quit in me though. Hope to be back next year just as competitive. Love this sport to death and determined to follow my dream"
